Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a passionate Researcher Development Adviser - Māori to lead Māori researcher development programmes within Te Puna Tiketike | Research and Innovation Office. Embedded within the James Henare Research Centre, the role will design and deliver programmes, mentor initiatives, and strengthen research capability across the university.

You will engage with Māori communities, hapū, iwi, and stakeholders, apply Te Ao Māori perspectives, and contribute to a thriving

Qualifications

• Experience working in kaupapa Māori contexts.
• Design, facilitation or delivery of learning and development programmes.
• Ability to apply Te Ao Māori perspectives in practice.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Māori researcher development programmes and learning opportunities.
• Identify capability gaps and develop responsive initiatives.
• Collaborate with experts to create culturally appropriate training.
• Support initiatives that enhance Māori researcher capability and funding success.
• Maintain and promote development resources.
• Evaluate programmes and inform continuous improvement.
• Build relationships across the University to support a thriving Māori research ecosystem
