Job summary

Primary ITO in New Zealand seeks a proactive role to lead business development and strengthen relationships with Māori businesses. The role emphasizes collaboration, strategic direction, and delivering outcomes for Māori learners.

You'll build the profile of Primary ITO, recommend training solutions, and facilitate annual business planning discussions with key partners. A flexible, full-time position supports work across Aotearoa.

Qualifications

• Experience leading business development, customer growth and strategic relationship management initiatives.
• Experience in the education sector and/or vocational learning environments with a strong, credible reputation that is trusted and results focussed.
• Experience partnering with Māori businesses and/or commercial environments
• Excellent communication, both written and verbally.
• Knowledge of and experience with te reo Māori me ona tikanga
• Understanding of the Agriculture and Horticulture sectors would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance Primary ITO's profile and provide strategic direction for engagement with Māori.
• Help the business to deliver sound outcomes for Māori learners.
• Recommend and implement training solutions based on understanding customer needs.
• Facilitate discussions and planning of annual business plans.
