Job summary

Wise Group’s Workwise team is seeking an Employment Consultant in West Auckland to help people connect with employers and services. You will work closely with Māori communities, whānau, health and welfare providers to improve access to work opportunities.

We value lived experience and cultural competence, with strong written and verbal communication. The role is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week, based in West Auckland.

Qualifications

• Preferred applicants hold NZ Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent.
• You’ll have strong knowledge of tikanga Māori and te reo Māori.
• Ability to engage with diverse communities and build relationships.
• Experience in social services, addiction, youth, mental health, disability or employment sectors.

Responsibilities

• Engage and support people to connect with employers, whānau, health and welfare providers, and Māori communities.
• Work with people in the community and across services to improve employment outcomes.
• Collaborate with team to meet client needs and outcomes.
