Job summary

Talent Connection NZ – Auckland, North Island, is recruiting for a Process Operator role with Stratex, a leading paper-based packaging manufacturer. You will operate laminating, winding and slitting machinery on rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, ensuring product quality and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, solid mechanical aptitude, and a safe work ethic. Forklift licence is a plus; role offers a generous package with hourly rate of $30.95 plus

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in manufacturing, packaging or related production.
• Zero-compromise quality mindset and attention to detail.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential; full NZ driver's licence is an advantage.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg and work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminating, winding and slitting machinery across rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
• Maintain product quality across all production runs with a detail-focused approach.
• Identify mechanical faults early and escalate to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with your shift team to meet daily output targets in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

• Operate laminating, winding, and slitting machinery across rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Maintain product quality across all production runs - detail and accuracy are non-negotiable
• Identify mechanical faults early and elevate to minimise production downtime
• Collaborate your shift team to meet daily output targets in a fast-paced environment

Skills and Experience

• Proven mechanical aptitude - hands-on experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a related production environment preferred
• Sharp eye for quality with a zero-compromise approach to production standards
• Forklift (hoist) licence preferred but not essential, full NZ driver's licence an advantage
• Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 25kg
• Dependable team player with a proactive, energetic approach and a strong work ethic
