Job summary

Recruitment Studio – Auckland, North Island is recruiting on behalf of a well-known, science-driven manufacturer in New Zealand. This finance partner role is embedded with Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain, offering broad scope beyond month-end reporting and influencing how cost drivers are managed.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in operations or supply chain finance, ideally in a manufacturing environment with strong cost accounting and commercial chops.
• A knack for turning messy, complex data into insight leaders can actually act on.
• Hands-on experience across manufacturing costing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• The commercial confidence to influence senior stakeholders who don't automatically defer to finance.
• Strong communicator who builds real relationships across Finance, Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Comfortable in ERP/EPM systems — Oracle experience is a bonus, not a must.
• A proactive, improvement-minded problem solver.
• CA, CIMA or CPA qualified, with an accounting or finance degree under your belt.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with plant, operations and supply chain leaders on cost drivers, efficiency, yield and losses.
• Owning manufacturing costing and inventory — standard costing, valuation, provisions and variance analysis.
• Leading month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing and supply chain functions.
• Hunting down productivity and cost-saving opportunities and helping quantify the benefit case.
