Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced leader to head the Manager, Integrated Delivery on the West Coast. This fixed-term role coordinates cross-agency collaboration to deliver integrated services and improved wellbeing for whānau and communities.

You will drive alignment across government agencies and health services, education providers and social services, ensuring delivery plans are implemented and risks managed.

Manager, Integrated Delivery | West Coast

Lead a unique cross-agency initiative that delivers meaningful change

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced and influential leader to support a significant cross-agency initiative focused on ‘supporting the Government response to Recommendation 88 of the Royal Commission into Abuse in Care’.

This opportunity will bring together government agencies, health services, education providers, social services, community organisations and local leaders to support the delivery of integrated services that improve wellbeing and strengthen outcomes for whānau and communities.

Hosted by Health New Zealand, this role works closely with the Regional Public Service Commissioner, regional agency leads, service providers, iwi, NGO’s and community partners and stakeholders to support delivery of a shared programme of work and integrated outcomes across multiple agencies.

About the Role

As Manager, Integrated Delivery, you will provide leadership and coordination across multiple organisations, ensuring partners work effectively together to deliver agreed shared outcomes.

You will facilitate collaboration, align service delivery efforts, identify and address barriers, and ensure support is tailored to the needs of the community.

Success in this role will require requires excellent relationship management skills, strong strategic thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to influence across multiple organisations without direct authority.

Please note that this role is Fixed Term until the 30th June 2027.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Workclosely with partners and stakeholders to identify and address servicegaps, duplication, barriers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Buildtrusted relationships with community leaders, providers and keystakeholders.
  • Ensurecommunity perspectives and lived experience inform planning, decisionmaking, and service delivery.
  • Supportinnovative and sustainable approaches that strengthen integrated servicedelivery.
About You

You are an experienced relationship leader who can bring diverse people together around a shared purpose and deliver results in complex environments.

You have a proven ability to navigate across organisational boundaries, influence decision‑making, and build trust with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.

  • Experienceleading complex programmes or initiativesinvolving multiple agencies or organisations.
  • Strongstakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation, and relationshipmanagement skills, with experience working alongside communities,providers and service users to identify needs and deliver effectivesolutions.
  • Abilityto establish credibility, demonstrate integrity and soundjudgement, and work effectively with senior leaders, professionals acrossa range of sectors.
  • Experiencedeveloping, implementing and monitoring delivery plans and reporting onprogress.
  • Strongjudgement, resilience and adaptability with the ability to navigatecomplexity, respond effectively to changing circumstances, and maintainfocus in dynamic environments.
  • Acollaborative and inclusive leadership style that promotes accountability,constructive challenge, high performance, and achievement of agreedoutcomes.
  • Demonstratedunderstanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to apply itsprinciples in practice.
  • Experienceworking across the health, education, social services or justice sectors.
  • Knowledgeof public sector systems and cross-agency governance.
  • Experiencepreparing briefings and advice for senior leaders.
  • Experienceworking in complex community settings and building trusted relationshipswith diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness, respect and sensitivity when workingwith diverse communities, including an ability to engage effectively acrossdifferent perspectives and lived experiences.
