Job summary

Synapxe in New Zealand seeks a Clinical Informaticist to lead clinical IT system implementation and governance across healthcare settings.

You will work with MOH guidelines, guide stakeholders, and mentor juniors while shaping clinical workflows and safety.

The role requires a professional degree in Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy or Allied Health with 10+ years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Professional degree or equivalent in Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy or other Allied Health.
• At least 10 years of working experience in a clinical setting with good understanding of clinical workflows, practices and operation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance on the best clinical practices, to ensure safe and effective implementation of clinical IT systems across all levels
• Assist stakeholders to develop, implement, manage governance processes, policies and procedures pertaining to clinical information systems
• Work with stakeholders to understand their clinical systems, manages system risks and in alignment with MOH's guidelines and policies
• Supports activities which helps improve clinical quality and minimises clinical safety risks across all clinical information systems
• Support the Clinical Informatics Head to further develop clinical informatics across the healthcare sector
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and deployment of new clinical information systems and technologies
• Talent development and mentorship to juniors
