NZ Recruit is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversee the safe delivery of patient care in a peri-operative setting. Working with the General Manager and Clinical Committee, you will lead clinical teams, support the volunteer workforce, and drive orientation, training and capability development.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' post-graduate clinical nursing experience.
  • Senior-level experience within Theatre or Perioperative nursing.
  • Endoscopy experience is strongly desired.
  • Proven clinical leadership ability.
  • Previous theatre and people-management experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications for healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation, planning and delegation skills.
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • A professional manner, empathy and a strong commitment to patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversee the safe, effective delivery of patient care.

Working alongside the General Manager and Clinical Committee, this is a key leadership role responsible for clinical care, operational coordination, quality improvement, health and safety, and supporting the hospital's clinical volunteer team.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who can demonstrate:

  • 5 years' post-graduate clinical nursing experience
  • Senior-level experience within Theatre or Perioperative nursing
  • Endoscopy experience is strongly desired
  • Proven clinical leadership ability
  • Previous theatre and people-management experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices

A postgraduate qualification, or working towards one, is desirable.
