Job summary

University of Otago seeks a Teaching Fellow for a three-year fixed-term period, based in Ōtepoti Dunedin. The role contributes to teaching activities, academic administration, and tutor coordination, while leading teaching improvements and student engagement initiatives.

The successful candidate will deliver course content, contribute to assessment and examinations, and collaborate with academic staff and the DSA team to support teaching quality and student success.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Management, Business, Higher Education, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience and commitment to high quality student learning.
• Experience coordinating teaching activities: paper delivery, assessment, moderation, examinations, curriculum support.

Responsibilities

• Teach and contribute to academic administration: course delivery, assessment, exams, tutor coordination, and student engagement.
• Provide academic leadership and coordination across teaching-related activities, developing sustainable processes and resources.
• Teach responsibilities to be determined by department needs and candidate expertise, enhancing teaching quality in a dynamic university environment.
