Job summary

Woolworths Group NZ is seeking an Operations Leader to manage and lead the swarm team, ensuring shelves are stocked, deliveries are handled to standard, and store procedures are followed.

As an acting leader on scheduled shifts, you will drive teamwork, uphold safety, and contribute to ongoing improvements while working four weekend shifts per month and at least one evening per week.

• Proven track record in leading teams and coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Execute Operations & Stock Management: ensure timely completion of routines, lead the swarm, and oversee all teams to fill shelves and manage deliveries.
• Team Leadership & Development: on-job training and coaching for team members, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: ensure evening crew meet standards, optimize packaging, and manage overstocks.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: escalate process-related issues to the Function Lead for resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: act as Store Manager on shifts and participate in cross-team collaboration initiatives.

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead on-job training and coaching for team members, and champion a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain Store Standards: Ensure the evening team are filling to correct standards, prioritize shelf-friendly packaging, and manage overstocks effectively.
• Resolve Issues Proactively: Timely scale process-related issues to the Function Lead for resolution.
• Contribute to Store Leadership: Step up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts and actively participate in "Better Together" connections to foster team collaboration.
