Job summary
Synlait is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide core electrical maintenance for our Dunsandel site. The role focuses on ensuring electrical components in machinery, production lines and facilities operate safely and efficiently to maximise productivity.
The position involves shift work: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off, and offers opportunities to expand technical knowledge in instrumentation and control systems within a collaborative, values-driven team.
Qualifications
- An Electrical Trade Certificate and a current Electrical Practising Licence.
- Experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical equipment and components.
- Experience with PLC automation systems, SCADA/HMI, and VSDs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain mechanical reliability of Canning processing equipment and support the site.
- Perform routine inspections and electrical maintenance to prevent failures.
- Diagnose and repair faults promptly and advise on electrical best practices.
- Support manufacturing with scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Provide reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Share expertise with RCA and BDE processes across the business.
- Write maintenance procedures.
