Job summary

NZ Transport Agency / Waka Kotahi in Hamilton seeks a Contract Management Specialist to lead the Integrated Delivery Contract for West Waikato. You will manage contract administration, drive performance, ensure compliance, and deliver value-for-money outcomes for critical state highways.

You will oversee supplier relationships, apply asset management principles, and contribute to health and safety while providing technical oversight and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex infrastructure maintenance contracts (NZS3917/3910 preferred).
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Drive contractor performance and implement improvement plans.
• Deep understanding of asset management, maintenance practices, and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Integrated Delivery Contract (IDC) for West Waikato, including contract administration and programme delivery.
• Oversee compliance and ensure value-for-money outcomes.
• Drive contractor performance and foster collaborative supplier relationships.
• Provide technical oversight and emergency response as required.
