At The Hermitage Hotel, our Maintenance Team plays an essential role in ensuring guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay in one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking locations. With over 250 guest rooms, extensive staff accommodation, and a wide variety of facilities, there’s always meaningful work to be done.

What You Could Be Doing

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance to keep guest rooms, staff housing, and facilities in excellent condition
• Diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues with practical, informed solutions
• Maintaining and servicing equipment, systems, and infrastructure
• Conducting safety checks and ensuring compliance standards are met
• Assisting across a range of maintenance tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Solid, hands‑on experience across maintenance, trades, or facilities
• Relevant qualifications or certifications (where applicable)
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Problem‑solving ability and practical thinking
• A reliable, self‑directed approach balanced with teamwork
• Pride in doing a job well and maintaining high standards
• A current NZ Driver Licence (or equivalent)
