Job summary

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour is seeking an Executive Assistant Manager to lead multiple hotel departments, ensuring strategic direction and operational excellence. The role emphasizes balancing guest experience with cost controls and revenue growth, while developing high-performing teams.

The position requires a strong background in F&B leadership, budgeting, forecasting, and familiarity with Opera PMS; prior acting as main contact for a Hotel or BU is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major.
• 4 years’ managerial experience in Food & Beverage across a hotel or standalone operation.
• 2 years’ leadership in Rooms or other hotel departments.
• Strong background with POS systems (Micros or similar); Opera PMS preferred.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting and Revenue Management; previous liaison for hotel or BU in GM absence.

Responsibilities

• Balance service quality, brand standards and production targets with cost efficiency across hotel departments.
• Build and develop high-performing teams and optimise labour costs amid turnover and skill shortages.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight and strategic financial analysis (P&L, budgets, contracts) to drive profitability.
• Deliver personalised guest service and resolve feedback across all touchpoints to meet expectations.
• Maximise F&B revenue through innovation, sales focus and tight cost/waste control while adapting to market trends.
