Job summary

Skyline Enterprises in New Zealand is seeking a Luge Operator for fixed-term summer roles. You will warmly welcome riders, give clear riding instructions and help maintain safe chairlift operation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires rostered shifts across weekends and school holidays, with availability through December and January for peak season. Training and team support are provided in a dynamic tourism setting.

Qualifications

• Must be patient, enthusiastic and conscientious with a strong commitment to health and safety.
• Genuine passion for tourism and delivering excellent guest service.
• Ability to adhere to strict safety procedures and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome luge riders with warmth and clarity.
• Provide thorough instructions on riding the luge and ensure rider safety.
• Ensure safe operation of chairlifts and oversee busy, shift-based rosters.
• Work weekends, holidays and during peak summer period.

Role Overview

As a Luge Operator, you will be responsible for delivering a warm and friendly welcome to all our luge riders. You'll provide clear and thorough instructions on how to ride the luge safely and ensure the safe operation of our chairlifts. This is a hands-on role ideal for a flexible team player who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy environment. You’ll be required to work rostered shifts throughout the week, including weekends, school holidays, Christmas, New Year, and public holidays. Please note: These are fixed-term summer positions, and successful applicants must be available to work throughout the peak holiday period, including December and January.
