Job summary

Agricentre South Ltd seeks a hands-on service technician to join Invercargill's busy workshop. You will perform scheduled servicing on tractors, combines, telehandlers, and sprayers, change oils and filters, grease points, and test work for quality.

You will support qualified technicians, keep records, and help maintain a safe, organised workshop while building customer-facing skills and learning about premium Case IH and New Holland machinery.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Interest in agricultural machinery.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• Friendly, professional approach with customers and team members.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Agricultural background or farming experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled services on tractors, combines, telehandlers, sprayers, and other agricultural machinery.
• Changing engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission oils, and filters.
• Greasing machinery and checking lubrication points.
• Testing completed work to ensure everything runs correctly.
• Assisting qualified technicians with larger repairs and overhauls.
• Maintaining accurate service records and paperwork.
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Changing engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission oils, and filters.
