Job summary

Downer in Wellington is seeking a practical, systems-focused Logistics Specialist to ensure equipment, materials and consumables are available when and where needed. You will coordinate stock movements, warehouse activities and logistics administration with a small local team.

The role collaborates with field teams, technicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly while improving processes in a safe, well organised environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management or stock control.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Strong planning, communication and attention to detail.
• A current full New Zealand driver licence.
• A forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound stock, including receipting, picking, packing and dispatch
• Processing purchase orders and inventory requests accurately and on time
• Maintaining inventory records and supporting stocktakes and audits
• Coordinating equipment, material and consigned stock movements and returns
• Building strong relationships with field teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Improving logistics processes while maintaining a safe, organised warehouse
