Job summary

Advanced Personnel Services in Napier, NZ is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our client crews supporting concreting operations. You will safely operate a loader to assist with material handling, production support, and general site tasks within a hardworking team.

The role requires proven loader experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work both independently and with others. Eligible to work in New Zealand, pre-employment drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a loader in concrete, quarry, or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of safe machinery operation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move aggregates and concrete materials.
• Load trucks and manage material movements around site.
• Feed materials into production areas as required.
• Stockpile and organize aggregate supplies.
• Assist concrete crews with site preparation and handling.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow health and safety policies and site procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and ground crews.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Loader Operator to join our client crews and support our concreting operations.

What We Offer

$27–$30 per hour (depending on experience)

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a loader to assist with material handling, concrete production support, and general site operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, operates machinery safely, and enjoys being part of a hardworking team.

Key responsibilities

Operating a loader to move and handle aggregates, concrete materials, and other products

Loading trucks and managing material movements around site

Feeding materials into concrete production areas as required

Stockpiling and organising aggregate supplies

Assisting concrete crews with site preparation and material handling

Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting any maintenance issues

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment

Following all company health and safety policies and site procedures

Working closely with supervisors, drivers, and ground crews to ensure smooth operations

About you

Proven experience operating a loader in a concrete, quarry, construction, or similar environment

Strong understanding of safe machinery operation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Site Safe Foundation Passport is an advantage

Eligible to work in New Zealand
