Placements24 is seeking an experienced Livestock Manager to oversee sheep and cattle operations in the Queenstown area. You will lead on breeding, feeding, health programs, and pasture management to optimise welfare, productivity and profitability.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to animal welfare. You will manage farm staff, maintain detailed animal records, and work closely with the client to uphold high livestock production standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in livestock management, specifically with sheep and cattle.
• Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, breeding, and reproductive cycles.
• Experience implementing animal health and biosecurity protocols.
• Ability to manage pasture and grazing lands effectively.
• Good leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills.
