Northpower is seeking an experienced Line Mechanic for its Construction and Maintenance team in New Zealand. You will construct and maintain overhead lines up to 33 kV, operating key equipment and ensuring safe, compliant work across the network.
Responsibilities include developing work plans, upgrading lines and equipment, and maintaining a strong safety record while collaborating with colleagues and customers. A NZ visa and right to work in NZ are required.
We’re looking for an experienced andsafety-focused Line Mechanic to join our Construction and Maintenance team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable delivery of electricityacross our network from constructing and maintaining overhead lines tooperating key equipment up to 33kV. In this role, you will be responsible for the constructionand maintenance of overhead electrical lines, ensuring all work meets customer,project, and network requirements. You will contribute to developing work plansfor the construction, servicing, and upgrading of electricity lines andassociated equipment, while also installing and replacing overhead conductorsand pole structures as needed. Your responsibilities include overhaulingnon-load-bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 66kV and operatingboth ground-mounted and structure-mounted electrical equipment for lines up to33kV. Throughout all tasks, you will be expected to work safely, efficiently,and to a consistently high professional standard.
