Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a drainage installer for an Auckland-based role, permanent full-time. You will read plans, install below-ground drainage, lay pipes, perform trench work, and ensure work meets codes and safety standards.

The role requires at least two years in the industry, ability to work in a team or alone, good organization, health and safety awareness, and physical fitness; primary work address Auckland.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine drainage system layout and installation requirements.
  • Install below-ground drainage systems, sewerage pipes, stormwater pipes, and associated fittings.
  • Excavate, prepare, and support trenches for drainage installation.
  • Lay, connect, test, and maintain drainage pipes and disposal systems.
  • Install sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems.
  • Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, defects, or maintenance issues.
  • Repair, replace, and maintain damaged or faulty drainage components.
  • Ensure drainage work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards, and council requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, machinery, and testing equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintain accurate work records and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • At least two years of working experience in relevant industry;Junior drainlayer are welcom, on-job-training will be provieded and exemption license is acceptable;
  • Work well in a team as well as individually
  • Be well-organized and able to multitask
  • Have strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Be physically fit
