- Providing and overseeing accurate, cost-effective and responsive research, including complex research requests, as well as national legal and business current awareness services.
- Overseeing media and legislative monitoring, and leading internal education in the use of hardcopy and electronic information resources, including for summer clerks, graduates and new starters.
- Curating the firm's LRS collections, maintaining the library catalogue and overseeing its effective use, and maintaining the LRS portal page and in-house databases.
- Supporting the Knowledge Manager, where required, with the negotiation of contracts with key suppliers.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A tertiary qualification in Library and Information Management studies or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, information services or a related discipline.
- Experience using legal research platforms such as LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters or CCH.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and user-focused approach to delivering clear, accurate and practical research outcomes that meet stakeholder needs.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to actively listen to others, understand diverse needs and respond with understanding and respect.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills and the ability to establish trust and credibility across all levels of the business.
- A strong service orientation, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate, complete and well-structured records through robust systems and processes.
- A commitment to teamwork, with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly and use initiative and sound judgement to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Membership of the New Zealand Law Librarians Association (NZLLA) is desirable.
Culture and benefits:

- professional development opportunities; including through a personalised leadership programme;
- a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme;
- an annual subsidy for personal health insurance and wellbeing activities;
- community support programmes;
- sports teams, an annual ball, and regular firm events.
