Te Kopuru School is seeking an experienced registered teacher to support students with diverse, mild-to-moderate neurodiverse or complex learning needs. You will work with schools, the Ministry, RTLB and whānau to ensure timely and appropriate support.

Our visits include Te Kōpuru School (2 days a week), Pouto School (1 day), Dargaville Primary School (1.5 days) and Tangowahine School (0.5 day). This is a full-time, non-contact role without regular classroom teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with diverse, mild-to-moderate neurodiverse or complex learning needs.
• Ability to observe, monitor progress and track data over time.
• Strong collaboration with kaiako, whānau, and external agencies.
• Capacity to build capability within schools and teams.
• Experience working in primary/intermediate settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support students through observations, data collection and progress tracking.
• Help kaiako build capability and implement inclusive practices.
• Act as dedicated point of contact for whānau and families.
• Coordinate services by connecting with external agencies.
• Support student transitions to intermediate or high school.
• Contribute to resource allocation and inclusive school culture.
