Job summary

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is looking for a Learning Programme Coordinator to join the Learning & Development team in Wellington City. This part-time, fixed-term role supports a range of learning programmes and helps ensure training runs smoothly from start to finish.

You will coordinate logistics, support virtual sessions, manage learner communications, and work closely with facilitators and the L&D team to deliver engaging training experiences across MPI.

Qualifications

  • Event planning or coordination experience is beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy learning environment.

**Job title:** Learning Programme Coordinator**Role type:** Fixed term to June 2027, Part-time (20 hours per week)**Location:** Wellington City**Salary band & range:** F $77,992 - $90,999 pro rata depending on skills and experience**About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga**We're looking for a Learning Programme Coordinator to join MPI's Learning & Development team. This is a varied and people-focused role where you'll help deliver learning programmes that support capability development across the organisation. You'll be a key point of contact for learners, support virtual and in-person learning experiences, and help ensure training runs smoothly from start to finish. This role is part-time, working 20 hours per week, and includes Friday as a required working day.Whether you're coordinating logistics, supporting learning programmes, or helping facilitators deliver engaging virtual sessions, you'll play an important role in creating positive learning experiences for people across MPI. An event planning, administration, or coordination background could be a great fit for this role.You'll show your skills to:* Coordinate learning programmes and course logistics* Support virtual learning sessions as a producer* Manage learner communications and enquiries* Assist delivery of learning programmes* Work closely with facilitators and the wider L&D team* Help create engaging learning experiences across MPIYou will occasionally support residential programmes which may include rare overnight stays with accommodation provided.**About You - Mōu**You're an organised and approachable coordinator who enjoys working with people and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
