Job summary

Auckland Council's Learn to Swim team at Birkenhead Pool invites applications for a part-time Learn to Swim Instructor. You'll help create positive experiences that build water confidence and safety while gaining a recognised swim teaching qualification.

Casual shifts are also available to fit flexibility; training is provided, including First Aid. You'll work with tamariki and adults, spend time in the water, and join a friendly, inclusive team committed to health and active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Confident swimmer with good communication and service skills.
• Experience with tamariki (children) or adults learning to swim is helpful.
• Willing to complete First Aid training and required courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach Learn to Swim to children and adults in a safe, supportive environment.
• Demonstrate and reinforce water safety and swimming skills.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist with program operations.
• Participate in training and up-skilling opportunities as offered.
