Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a part-time Learn to Swim Instructor to join our Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre team. You will teach Learn to Swim concepts, help learners gain confidence in the water, and provide a safe and engaging experience for participants.

You will receive full training, have access to our facilities, and work with a supportive team. A two-week training program will be required, and flexibility with shifts is important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a confident swimmer with strong water safety awareness.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to complete First Aid training; training provided.
• Experience as a swimming instructor is useful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Learn to Swim classes at Stanmore Bay Pool and Leisure Centre.
• Create a fun, safe, and welcoming learning environment for participants.
• Support learners through development with the provided training.
