Job summary

Terra Industrial New Zealand Limited is seeking a Leading Hand in Auckland to supervise a team of heavy diesel field service technicians. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while also performing hands-on on-tools work.

Daily Right to Start meetings and adherence to Health and Safety and Terra values are integral. You will mentor team members, coordinate with the broader Terra staff, and manage warranty claims and related administrative tasks, contributing to service excellence in

• Qualified heavy diesel technician with 2+ years in the industry.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Good understanding of operational processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of heavy diesel field service technicians across Auckland.

The role:

As one of five Leading Hands in our Auckland operation, you will provide leadership and support to your team of heavy diesel field service technicians working across the Auckland region. You will be responsible for ensuring work efficiency, productivity and quality, safety, coaching and mentoring, warranty claims and associated administrative work. You will also undertake your own on tools work and complete jobs alongside your leadership responsibilities.

You will also lead daily Right to Start meetings and champion Health and Safety along with our other values of Openness, Integrity and Care.

We are seeking:

• A qualified and experienced heavy diesel technician
• 2+ years’ experience in our industry
• An understanding of operational processes and systems
• Experience leading, mentoring and coaching a team Is preferred but not essential

This role requires you to work closely with other Terra staff to ensure our customers have a great experience every time, so top-notch communication and organisational skills are essential.
