Job summary

Central TTM, a traffic management company with locations in Palmerston North, Lower Hutt and Hawke’s Bay, is seeking on-site traffic controllers. You will direct traffic, set up equipment, and ensure safety for workers and the public.

Qualifications

• Leadership qualities and ability to guide a team on-site.
• Punctual and reliable with strong work ethic.

• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic flow at worksites using stop/slow signals.
• Set up and pack down traffic management equipment per plan.
• Maintain clear radio communication with supervisors and controllers.
• Monitor site conditions and report hazards or changes to supervisors.
• Ensure safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists at all times.
• Follow site traffic management plans (TMPs) and compliance rules.
• Complete required paperwork and incident reports.
• Adhere to health and safety legislation and site rules.
