Job summary

The role requires proven leadership in hospitality, strong food safety knowledge, and experience with commercial dishwashing equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a busy hospitality or kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and WHS compliance.
• Experience with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Oversee bulk washing of cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of catering events.
• Manage stewarding schedules, food safety records, and equipment logistics.
• Lead, train, and motivate a stewarding team.
• Support financial targets through efficient use of resources.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with Chief Steward and Executive Chef on operations.
