Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an experienced Steward at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre to support the kitchen brigade and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient culinary department. You will contribute to service excellence and manaakitanga while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene protocols.

The role requires teamwork, a positive attitude, and availability for late nights and weekends as events demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial dishwashers and cleaning chemicals is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitising of all kitchen equipment.
• Ensuring that the kitchen, scullery, rubbish room and storage areas are clean and orderly.
• Ensuring that food safety standards are carried out and monitored.
• Carry out bulk washing of all cutlery, crockery and glassware.
