Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking an experienced Supervisor Social Worker for our Christchurch East site. The role leads a team of social workers focused on whānau wellbeing and tamariki support, working with Iwi and cross-sector partners.

You’ll develop capability, manage workflow, and ensure timely decisions in a values-driven practice framework. The position is permanent, full-time leadership, with a competitive salary starting from NZD 111,020 to NZD 133,696 depending on

Formación

• Full, clean, valid driver's licence.
• Social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB.
• Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB).
• Previous people management and/or mentoring experience is essential.
• Ability to build and lead an effective team and be a team player.
• Proactive approach prioritising tamariki needs in all decisions and actions.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage competing demands.
• Knowledge of the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989.
