KiwiRail in Wellington is seeking a Structures Inspector to audit and inspect civil infrastructure assets, including timber, concrete, masonry and steel structures, earthworks and retaining walls. You will proactively monitor safety, diagnose faults, and develop work plans with progress tracking.

You will lead field staff, apply speed restrictions, and report findings to the Structures team, while maintaining documentation and complying with rail safety standards.

Qualifications

• Secondary School or equivalent NCEA Level 2 Mathematics and English.
• HT Class 2 License or eligible to obtain this class of licence.
• Carpentry, Building Trades or related trade certification.

Responsabilités

• Undertake structures inspections and reports to prescribed standards.
• Diagnose and report existing and potential structure faults or irregularities.
• Apply and monitor speed restrictions for structures works or defects.
• Carry out emergency repairs and coordinate with Train Control as required.
• Ensure documentation is complete and files are properly maintained.
