Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Health is seeking a Team Leader for Occupational Therapy at Nelson Hospital. This permanent part-time role (0.7 FTE) provides day-to-day operational leadership of the acute OT team, including registered Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants, to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Be a registered Occupational Therapist with at least seven years of clinical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or management experience.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Commitment to delivering equitable, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership and management of the Nelson Hospital Acute Occupational Therapy team (including registered OTs and Allied Health Assistants).
• Support service development, workforce capability, professional standards, and innovation.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and drive outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration and forward-thinking ideas.
• Occasional travel within the district to support professional leadership activities.
• Permanent, part-time role working 64 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE), Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM.
