New Zealand Police ICT is seeking a Lead Developer to drive design, build and maintain our Appian-based low-code platform. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Principal Developers and Architects to ensure standards and provide design documentation.

You will mentor the team, promote best practices, and stay at the cutting edge of low-code delivery in the SDLC. The role is based in Wellington with an on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering low-code solutions, ideally Appian.
• Ability to mentor and coach members of the practice.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and software architecture.
• Proven ability to work across the organisation and adapt to changing requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic direction to improve platforms and team capability.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Network, and Cybersecurity to align with ICT standards.
• Leverage model-driven visual development for efficient app delivery.
• Design solutions with business customers using low-code platforms.
• Build a strong development team and manage future workload.
• Stay current with platform features and best practices; advocate usage.
• Provide 3rd level technical support for the platform.
