Job summary

BP Properties 2021 Ltd in Auckland is seeking an experienced LBP Builder to join our construction, renovation, and commercial fit-out team. You will carry out and supervise building work across retail stores, restaurants, cafés, hospitality venues, and other commercial projects.

The role requires a current NZ LBP qualification, a carpentry qualification, strong workmanship, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors while ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Licensed Building Practitioner qualification.
• Relevant carpentry qualification and proven building experience.
• Experience in commercial fit-outs, renovations, or similar construction projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage site responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Full New Zealand driver licence.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete framing, internal alterations, wall and ceiling work
• Install doors, hardware, fixtures, and finishing components
• Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and other trades
• Manage daily site activities and resolve construction-related issues
• Maintain accurate site records and project documentation
• Ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard
• Comply with relevant building requirements and health and safety procedures
