Job summary

Penny Homes are Registered Master Builders delivering quality construction across the central North Island. We're growing our team and need a reliable, hard-working labourer on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support our projects at Linton and Bulls.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll keep our sites running safely, cleanly and efficiently, supporting the wider team to deliver quality work. A full clean NZ driver's licence is required and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites and keep them clean and well presented.
• Install and maintain silt control and site security.
• Assist tradespeople with day-to-day tasks.
• Coordinate materials and deliveries; load/unload.
• Identify hazards and maintain site safety.
• Operate hand tools and equipment when competent.
• Garden, landscape and prep sites.
• Install fixtures and fittings and basic construction tasks.
• Meet deadlines with quality workmanship.

Linton & Bulls · Full-time, 12-month fixed term

Penny Homes are Registered Master Builders delivering quality construction across the central North Island. We're growing our team and need a reliable, hard-working labourer on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support our projects at Linton and Bulls.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll keep our sites running safely, cleanly and efficiently, supporting the wider team to deliver quality work.

What you'll be doing:

• Reliable labourer wanted for a full-time, 12-month role with Penny Homes, supporting construction projects in Linton and Bulls. Preparing sites and keeping them clean, tidy and well presented throughout the build
• Installing and maintaining silt control and site security
• Installing temporary protection to completed works
• Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day tasks as directed
• Coordinating materials and assisting with deliveries - loading, unloading and moving materials around site
• Identifying and removing hazards to keep the site safe
• Operating hand tools and equipment once assessed as competent
• Gardening, landscaping and grounds prep - mowing, keeping vegetation down and tidying up completed areas
• Installing fixtures and fittings, plus general clean-up and basic construction tasks as directed
• Completing work to deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship

What we're looking for:

• A strong work ethic - reliable, punctual and takes pride in the job
• Physically fit and safety-conscious
• Works well in a team and on your own initiative
• Full clean NZ driver's licence (you'll be moving between the Linton and Bulls sites)
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
