Job summary

Ventia is seeking two motivated Labourer Operators to join our team in Paihia, Far North. You'll carry out road maintenance, vegetation control, traffic management, and plant operation across the region, contributing to essential infrastructure.

No two days are the same; you'll work outdoors, in all weather, and be part of a supportive crew with ongoing training and opportunities to develop new skills. Class 1 licence required; experience in civil construction and safety-focused work is valued;

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driver's Licence is essential.
• Experience in civil construction, road maintenance, or machinery operation.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and teamwork.
• Traffic Management or STMS qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Road maintenance and drainage works.
• Pavement repairs and vegetation control.
• Traffic management and plant operation.
• Emergency response activities as required.

About The Role

No two days are the same. You'll be involved in road maintenance, drainage works, pavement repairs, vegetation control, traffic management, plant operation, and emergency response activities as required. You'll work safely, efficiently, and as part of a close-knit crew delivering essential infrastructure services.

About You

• Class 1 Driver's Licence essential (Class 2 and WTR preferred)
• Experience in civil construction, road maintenance, or machinery operation
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and teamwork

Traffic Management Or STMS Qualifications Desirable
