Job summary

LabPLUS, part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, seeks a Laboratory Stores Coordinator to support growth of laboratory services across Procurement, Stores and Facilities coordination. You’ll ensure availability of supplies and equipment, while managing stock and supplier communications to keep one of New Zealand’s largest diagnostic laboratories running smoothly.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available within LabPLUS for a Laboratory Stores Coordinator. This newly established role has been created to support the growth of laboratory services, including increased Bowel Screening activity, while providing essential operational, stores, procurement and facilities coordination across Laboratory Medicine. This is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for ensuring laboratory supplies, equipment and support services are available when needed, helping maintain the smooth operation of one of New Zealand's largest and busiest diagnostic laboratories.

LabPLUS is an IANZ-accredited medical laboratory and New Zealand's largest referral hospital laboratory, delivering world-class diagnostic services from its Auckland base. About you

For this role, you will need to bring the following attributes to this role: At least 1 year experience as a store person, or relevant experience working with stock control, as well as proficiency in using inventory, purchasing and service management systems. Demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills. Clerical and customer service skills, with a keen eye for detail and coordination. The ability to learn and manage organisational technology systems. Ideally, you will also have experience in:

• Procurement and purchasing processes.
• Goods receiving and inventory management.
• Supplier liaison and delivery coordination.
• Process improvement initiatives.
• Working within healthcare, laboratory or regulated environments.
• Working at Health New Zealand.
