Watercare is seeking a hands-on laboratory support role based in Auckland. The position supports the production of analytical results and enables Chemists and Microbiologists to perform their analyses.

You will help with cleanup and recycling after analyses and adapt to a Tuesday–Saturday 9-5:30pm shift. The role involves physical activity throughout the day and requires a practical, methodical approach, plus basic computer skills.

Competenze

• Secondary education to NCEA 3 with an interest in science
• Methodical approach to work
• Physical ability to meet the functional job demand or the above duties
• Proficient in computer use.

Mansioni

• Laboratory housekeeping
• Sample bottle preparation
• Sample disposal, employing recycling opportunities
• Discarding samples, chemicals, reagents etc using safety and environmental protocols
• Operating autoclaves and dishwashers
• Supporting analysts with resource supplies and testing.
