Kmart Aotearoa is looking for a Duty Manager to support store leaders across key in-store processes, driving efficiency and operational excellence in daily operations and end-of-trade tasks. As a Duty Manager , you’ll support Kmart store leaders across key in-store processes, helping drive efficiency & operational excellence. Supporting management strong presentation standards across the store. Contributing to the successful closing of the store, ensuring all end-of-trade tasks are completed accurately and safely.

What you’ll be doing

• Leadership & Motivation – Lead by example through a hands‑on approach, working alongside team members to provide support, foster collaboration, and motivate individuals to achieve shared goals and high performance.


• Strategic Thinking – Make timely decisions within scope, applying experience and judgement while seeking guidance from Department or Store Managers when needed.


• Relationship Building – Keep the team informed and aligned, fostering collaboration, valuing diverse perspectives, and recognising individual contributions.


• Operational Excellence – Consistently achieve set goals by maintaining focus, overcoming challenges, and seeing tasks through to completion.
