Job summary

Kiwi Lumber is seeking a Forklift Operator to support operations. Duties include loading/unloading, stacking pallets, and picking/packing orders, with forklift maintenance and documentation tasks as needed.

The role requires safe forklift operation, adherence to health and safety, and the ability to work 2.45pm–2.45am, Mon–Thu, approximately 46 hours per week. Pay ranges from $26.50 to $30.80 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

  • Three years' forklift driving experience.
  • Experience undertaking manual/physical duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret delivery dockets and other documentation.
  • Sound written and numeracy skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Hold a Class 1 drivers' licence and/or equivalent.
  • Forklift Operator certificate and/or equivalent, or ability to obtain one.

  • Stacking and organising pallets and goods in designated areas.
  • Picking and packing orders as required.
  • Forklift maintenance related duties.
  • Assisting the team with other duties as required.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including daily pre-start checks and wearing appropriate PPE.

The role has a direct impact on our production levels and quality and therefore plays an important part in the overall success of the mill.

The hours of work are 2.45pm to 2.45am, Monday to Thursday, approximately 46 hours per week. The hourly rate is $26.50 - $30.80 depending on the skills and experience.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Ideally you will have:

  • Three year's experience driving forklifts safely.
  • Experience undertaking manual/physical duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret delivery dockets and other documentation.
  • Sound written and numeracy skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Hold a Class 1 drivers' licence and or equivalent.
  • Forklift Operator certificate and or equivalent, or ability to obtain one.
