Job summary

Kiwi Lumber Group in Masterton/Wellington area is seeking a Forklift Operator to support milling operations. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, with duties including loading/unloading, forklift maintenance, and assisting the team as needed.

The role emphasizes safe operation, accuracy in loading, and adherence to health and safety standards. Training and development opportunities are provided within a growing sawmilling company.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Operator to assist with our operations. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday- 7am to 5pm.

The role has a direct impact on our production levels and quality and therefore plays an important part in the overall success of the mill.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

MUST have experience with working in Dispatch Operations loading trucks - preferable in a large capacity forklift.

Ideally, you will have:

• One/Two years' experience driving forklifts.
• Experience undertaking manual/physical duties.
• Sound written and numeracy skills.
• Basic computer skills.

You'll also have a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to undertake work in a safe and efficient way to ensure our health and safety, quality standards and production requirements are met.
