Job summary

Tairawhiti Contracting Limited in Gisborne is recruiting 25 workers for kiwifruit flower thinning, with start dates between Monday 28 September and Thursday 1 October. Applicants should be honest, reliable, physically fit and healthy; height minimum 165 cm to reach overhead vines. Training will be provided.

Pay is $26 per hour including 8% Holiday Pay, paid weekly. Work is about 4 weeks, with potential ongoing work up to Christmas in apple thinning.

Qualifications

• Must be NZ resident or citizen or hold a valid working holiday visa.
• No SSE visa allowed.
• Previous experience is an advantage but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform kiwifruit flower thinning tasks at Gisborne orchard.
• Train and follow safety and quality standards.
• Maintain good attendance and positive attitude during seasonal work.
