Qualifications

• Work experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but full training will be provided.
• Must possess a good understanding of working in a kitchen environment.
• Able to meet physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 kg.
• Shift work is required, including early and late shifts on a rotating roster.
• Willingness to work Monday to Sunday; weekend and public holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of hygiene and safety in the kitchen and related areas.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils, cutlery, and kitchen equipment per HACCP guidelines.
• Record temperatures of dishwashing machines, fridges, freezers, and hot equipment.
• Assist with basic food preparation and mise en place as required.
• Assist and liaise with chef on duty with preparation and plating as needed.
• Attend departmental meetings and training; follow hotel policies and procedures.
