Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty is seeking a Kitchen Hand to help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure hygiene standards. You will support the kitchen team, handle dishwashing, rubbish removal, and basic food preparation, working within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a can-do attitude, flexibility to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and the ability to thrive in a diverse team focused on delivering excellent dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene by cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Wash and dry dishes using commercial dishwashers and manual methods.
• Handle rubbish removal and floor sweeping/mopping.
• Support kitchen team with basic food preparation, garnishes, and seasonings.

Purpose

As a Kitchen Hand, your role is pivotal in maintaining the sparkle of our kitchen. Your main responsibilities involve upholding cleanliness, including dishware, utensils, and workspaces, all while strictly adhering to hygiene standards. You are an integral part of the kitchen brigade, collaborating seamlessly to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including various tasks such as basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Skills & Experience

• Having practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus
• Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour
• You thrive working within a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
