Job summary

NZ Recruit is seeking an experienced Kitchen Detailer for a permanent, full-time role in Cromwell. You will prepare detailed kitchen drawings, read designs and measurements, and ensure cabinetry layouts are accurate and manufacturable.

Applicants should have experience in kitchen detailing or joinery and be proficient with CAD/design software. A formal trade qualification is not essential; strong attention to detail and reliability are prized.

We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Detailer to join a kitchen company in Cromwell. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone with experience in kitchen detailing, cabinetry or joinery who is looking for a long-term position.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing detailed kitchen drawings and plans
• Working from designs, plans and measurements
• Detailing cabinetry, layouts and specifications
• Checking measurements and drawings for accuracy
• Making adjustments to plans as required
• Ensuring designs are practical and suitable for manufacture
• Working closely with the workshop and production team

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in kitchen detailing, cabinetry, kitchen design or joinery
• Good understanding of kitchen construction and cabinetry
• Confident reading plans and working with measurements
• Good computer skills and experience with relevant design or CAD software
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Well organised and able to manage deadlines
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
• A formal trade qualification is not essential. We're more interested in your experience, technical ability and understanding of kitchen joinery.
