Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel in Twizel is seeking a reliable Kitchen Hand to support our busy kitchen team. You’ll assist chefs, wash dishes, keep surfaces clean and follow food safety procedures in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys teamwork, is enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to smooth service during busy periods. Training will be provided, and you’ll be part of a friendly Distinction Hotels family.

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation
• Preparing vegetables, salads and other ingredients
• Cleaning benches, floors and kitchen equipment
• Assisting with rubbish removal and general kitchen duties
• Receiving, storing and rotating kitchen supplies
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service period
