Job summary

Ngāti Hine Health Trust (NHHT) invites applications for a Kaiwhiriwhiri (Navigator) to join the Rangitamirotanga team. This pivotal role helps whānau identify aspirations, develop holistic wellbeing plans, and access services that strengthen physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

Working alongside whānau, community partners and service providers, you will help create meaningful, sustainable outcomes that are whānau-led and grounded in kaupapa Māori values.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Whānau Ora or working towards one.
• Relevant qualification in social services or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with whānau, hapū, iwi and communities.
• Strong understanding of tikanga Māori and kaupapa Māori practice.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.
• Te Reo Māori proficiency or willingness to continue learning is an advantage.

Te tūnga | The Role

Ko wai koe? | About You

You will bring:

• A Diploma in Whānau Ora or be working towards obtaining one.
• A relevant qualification in social services, community services or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with whānau, hapū, iwi and communities.
• A strong understanding of tikanga Māori and kaupapa Māori practice.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
• A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.
• Te Reo Māori proficiency or a willingness to continue learning would be an advantage.
