Job summary

Ngāti Hine Health Trust seeks a Kaiwhakatere Navigator to walk alongside whānau, helping identify aspirations and access the right support services to build pathways toward wellbeing, independence, and self-determination.

You will develop and manage Whānau Ora plans, connect whānau with internal and external services, and monitor progress to achieve meaningful outcomes within a kaupapa Māori framework.

About the Role

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting whānau and has a genuine commitment to kaupapa Māori and Whānau Ora practice.

You will bring:

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience working with whānau, communities, hapū, and iwi.
• Strong relationship‑building and engagement skills.
• Knowledge of social services, community support systems, and referral pathways.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and case management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong administration and reporting capabilities.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Services or a related field.
• Experience within Whānau Ora, health, social services, or community development sectors.
• Fluency or proficiency in Te Reo Māori.
