  • Participate in and provide all aspects of administration and front-line support services in the work area, including back up during peak periods and events within the Faculty.
  • Maintain knowledge of and operate the University management systems and technologies as required.
  • Support administration of Faculty websites, event calendars and other communications, ensuring information is accurate and up to date with guidelines.
  • Provide administration support to one or more work area committees and/or projects as required.
  • Provide any other assistance as required by the manager.

TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Kaiwhakahaere - Academic Administrator to join Te Kura Tātai Ture - School of Law’s professional team on a 12-month fixed-term, full-time contract.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in and provide all aspects of administration and front-line support services in the work area. This includes providing back up in peak work periods or when cover is required, including supporting events within the Faculty.

Maintain knowledge of and be able to operate the University management systems and technologies, as required.

Support the administration of Faculty websites, event calendars, and other communications, ensuring information is accurate and up to date whilst adhering to University guidelines.

Provide administration support to one or more of the work area committees and/or projects, as and when required.

  • Provide any other assistance as and when required by the manager.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual with strong attention to detail who can take the initiative and provide excellent administration and support within a team.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in office administration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a frontline, client focused environment.
  • Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to differentaudiences.
